Project Description
The DFW Airport is a thriving “city” surrounding one of the largest commercial airports. Since 1988, APR staff have worked on a wide range of projects that include Group B Occupancy space, such as administrative offices, fire stations, department of public safety, and low-rise hotels. Other project types include utilities, renovation of terminals, new terminals, security screening check point modifications, airport security operations center, hold room concepts, rail stations (Airport Train, DART, and the Fort Worth Rail), communication centers, and several airport infrastructure projects.
Currently APR is engaged in Estimating, Scheduling, and Cost Management service contracts at the airport. We have developed processes for and provide Program and Project Controls for all Infrastructure Division capital projects. Schedules were updated throughout the lifecycle of the projects, from conceptual design thru closeout. APR’s efforts allowed all level of stakeholder, from owner to contractor, to quickly and easily view project/program status and analyze the impact of change requests across the entire program. Cost Management information tracked and reported (graphicly, tabularly, and in written format) included: Business Case Approval, Funding/PDD Approval, Construction NTP, Change Requests/Orders, Status and Impact, Current, Approved, and Forecasted Budget, Forecasted WIP, Capital Expenditures.
